A family owned and operated company established in 1947 and based in Elgin, Moray, J Gordon Williamson Ltd was originally conceived as a scrap metal processing business, operating as such until the mid 1970’s.

At this point the company recognised the potential of skip hire, both as a way of augmenting their scrap metal activities and providing a waste disposal service to the local construction companies.

The demand for waste disposal increased and the company expanded its operation to include a waste reception and processing area supplemented by specialised plant to recycle as much incoming waste as economically possible.
